We have had a busy few weeks in Room 23.
Before our Halloween break
we were busy learning about 2-D shapes in Maths and we drew some 2-D shapes on
our class pumpkin.
Can you remember the names of all the different shapes?
We learned about what life was like at home for our grandparents
when they were young.
We even interviewed them. Some of the girls were surprised
that their grandparents had to share their rooms with their brothers and
sisters.
The girls were shocked that there was very little TV to watch and no
computer games!
Instead of playing, we learned that many of our grandparents
had to work on the farm at home. It wasn’t all work though. We learned some old
traditional games that our grandparents used to play. We tried out a game of “In
and Out the Dusty Bluebells”, “Grandmothers Footsteps”, and “Duck, Duck, Goose!”
We dressed up in our Halloween costumes on the day of our
Halloween holidays.
We helped raise money for Childline. We all had a bowl of Cheerios
to help raise money for the charity.
