Wednesday will be a very special day for us in St. Clare’s.
The army will be arriving to present our school with the Irish
flag and we will be given a copy of the proclamation too.
This is all part of the upcoming 1916 Easter Rising centenary
celebrations for next year.
When we are presented with the flag and proclamation, we will
sing our National Anthem, “Amhrán na bhFiann”.
We have been listening to it and
singing it over the last few days.
