1916 Easter Rising Centenary

Wednesday will be a very special day for us in St. Clare’s.

The army will be arriving to present our school with the Irish flag and we will be given a copy of the proclamation too.

This is all part of the upcoming 1916 Easter Rising centenary celebrations for next year.

When we are presented with the flag and proclamation, we will sing our National Anthem, “Amhrán na bhFiann”.

We have been listening to it and singing it over the last few days.

Here is a link to Amhrán na bhFiann, so you can practise.

Relaxation

We started our relaxation today.

We learned about some different breathing exercises that can help us to unwind and de-stress.

Don’t forget to wear PE tracksuits on Mondays.

Learning about money

This week we are learning about money in Maths.

We are learning how to calculate what change we have to give back from up to €1.00

We have been busy playing shop in class and practising giving back change.

This can be tricky.
